Exciting Day!.

well it had been an exciting day.. well these are the keypoints/ highlights of our school day :D.

-Advertised earth hour and succedded.
-2.4 KM run, first time i belive. it was an awesome and tiring experience!.
-Faroq Puncheed Jeremy after being provoked [ GOOD JOB FAROQ]!.
-Recess was totally action packed :D [REFER TO ABOVE]
-History lesson had a few puns like.. DO u SEA?.
-School early release 12.30!.

ever wanted to know your speed? well maybe u DO know but u would wanna check to see if ur ISP is providing u with the speed they actually mentioned. well, there's a website that's well known which can tell u your internet speed, its actually http://www.speedtest.net/ quite obvious eh? well its really cool and quite awesome, there's a also a http://www.pingtest.net/ , it tell you your ping, or stability of connection. These statistics are vital to your internet experince as they affect, your gaming speeds and downloading and uploading of stuff. do try it out for your self, my internet speed is 2.97mb/s which is quite slow, singtel said its 3mb/s, welll they must have rounded up :D. Do try it out, its quite accurate!.

Earthquake shifted Earth's AXIS!!.
oh my god! the chille earthquake shifted the earth's axis!
"THE powerful earthquake that shook Chile on Saturday probably shifted the Earth's axis and made days slightly shorter, a Nasa scientist said.




Dr Richard Gross, a research scientist at Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, calculated that the planet's axis would have shifted by 8cm during the 8.8 magnitude quake, Nasa said in a statement.



Earth days are 24 hours long because that's the amount of time it takes the planet to make one full rotation on its axis, so shifting the axis would affect rotation.



If, indeed, the planet's axis did shift by eight centimeters during the Chilean quake, days would have shortened by 1.26 microseconds, Dr Gross calculated. A microsecond is one-millionth of a second, so there is no need to adjust watches just yet.



The Chilean quake shifted the Earth's axis by even more than the 9.1-magnitude temblor off Indonesia that set off the deadly tsunami in Asia in 2004, Dr Gross worked out.



That's partly because the faultline responsible for the earthquake in Chile 'dips into Earth at a slightly steeper angle than does the fault responsible for the 2004 Sumatran earthquake' and is more effective at moving Earth's mass vertically and shifting the planet's axis. The 2004 quake in Asia caused the Earth to move by around 7cm and chopped an estimated 6.8 microseconds off the length of a day, Nasa said. -- AFP"

Alright, Sports Carnival is comin'. I wanna tell u guys to pls train for sports carnival. This Friday is our last PE! So I nid this class to train hard. Don't giv chance to other classes! If u wanna keep the 1/7 ROX!, we hav to do our best for sports carnival.
